61 pounds gone that is an amazing amount of weight to have lost. The road here has not been an easy one and that is for sure. I have had problems with my weight for as long as I can remember. During my school aged years were terrible for me in fact I remember when students and adults would make fun of me for instance when I was in head start my teacher then sent me home with a note for my mother instructing her to go and buy my clothing from JCpenny. Another instance when I was in elementary school and upon meeting my third grade teacher for the first time she directly told me that she was going to fail me and that she most certainly did. While in elementary school I was active in fact, I tried everything to lose weight.
I joined the soccer team and the basketball team and I made both teams unfortunately I left the basketball team due to the conflict of the scheduling of my soccer games. Upon graduating from elementary I then when to middle school and joined the marching band where again my mother was promised that I was going to lose weight. By this time in the 200 pound range. I stayed at that particular weight for years. Meanwhile in 2005 is when my weight really starting affecting me. I was in high school and looking at boys but unfortunately, they were not looking at me.
At this point in my life, I began looking into having the gastric bypass surgery however after getting to the halfway point my then doctor then pulled a fast one with my co-payment saying that my mother did not pay to see the doctor when she and I both know better. Fast forward to 2008 when I was diagnosed with Lymphedema, once again, I tried for the gastric bypass, and once again, my co-payment was an issue with the new doctor that diagnosed me with the edema condition. I tried every diet and workout under the sun, as I am certain that many of you have done the same thing as well. I tried Slim Fast, South Beach, Atkins, AmazeRx and Opti-Fast programs. With the Atkins and South Beach programs, they were too expensive and included foods that I did not usually eat. Although with the Slim Fast, AmazeRx and the Opti-Fast program I managed to lose 50 pounds or more however when I transitioned from drinking the shakes to eating food again I gained the weight that loss back and then some.
Earlier this year I tried again to have the bypass surgery because my weight had me physically disabled. I could not walk far no could I stand for long periods of time hell I could not even bathe myself now that is embarrassing. Having said that I went to a new doctor and was told that I am 24 years old and if I continue at the rate of which I am going in then I will not make it to see the age of 40 therefore I had to do something because it was now or never. Therefore, I spent the rest of January trying to figuring out a plan on how to lose weight and get healthy. One day towards the last week of January, I noticed that one of my Facebook friends was talking about a 90-Day Challenge and in the mist of that, he was also posting other people pictures that were on the challenge and showing their amazing transformations. I could not believe my eyes. At first I did not believe what I was seeing it took me a couple of days before I decided okay whatever this 90-Day Challenge is I have to try it.
My friend agreed to send me box of products which arrived at my door via UPS on February 4th and I been on the challenge for a total of 90 days. All I do is drink delicious shakes for breakfast and lunch along with a sensible dinner. In fact, I did not change my eating habits or the foods that I eat. I just simply added these delicious shakes to my eating regimen and I must say that my favorite shake is the Peanut butter and banana one and I would like to try the Banana Pudding one. A couple of days ago I had the pleasure of enjoying a peanut butter and chocolate shake.
I am honestly enjoying delicious treats that are usually considered bad for weight loss but my weight is falling off me like butter. I am now down 61 pounds and counting. With that said, I am dying to get my hands on a chocolate chip or an oatmeal cookie right about now.
P.S. Listen I know this may seem too good to me true however I am living proof that this 90-Day Challenge works. What other program on this planet allows you to indulge in delicious tasty treats and still be able to lose weight and get the body of your dreams? Are you up for the Challenge?
